<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester molded article having a high limit viscosity by a method wherein lowering of the limit viscosity is minimized and the limit viscosity is high during the molding, by feeding a powdery granular polyester to a molder having a vent port in which a specified degree of vacuum is retained, and melt molding the polyester. CONSTITUTION:A powdery and granular polyester consisting of acid constituents mainly of aromatic dicarboxylic acids and one or more diol constituents and having a moisture content of 0.01wt% or more is introduced into the molder having a vent port which is in communication with a vacuum generator, and is melt molded while the vent port is kept under a vacuum of 100 Torr or less. Thus, the drying step before the melt molding of the polyester can be simplified or omitted.</p> |
