PURPOSE:To obtain the measuring device having a simple structure, being inexpensive and enabling precise measurement of the shape of a transparent body, by constituting the device so that parallel light is projected on a body to be measured through a polarizing filter and that the image thereof is formed on a line sensor through another polarizing filter. CONSTITUTION:Parallel incident light passes through the polarizing filter 5 and irradiates the body 6 to be measured. The light passing through the body 6 to be measured loses its polarization due to scattering and most of it is checked by the polarizing filter 7 whose direction of polarization is arranged in parallel to that of the first polarizing filter 5, whereby a dark image of the body is formed on the line sensor 9. In the case when the directions of polarization of the polarizing filters 5 and 7 cross at right angles, brightness and darkness turn reverse. By this constitution, the measuring device having simple structure, being inexpensive and enabling precise measurement of the shape of the transparent body is obtained. |
