PURPOSE:To both decrease a mechanical loss and enable a swivel scroll member to be surely supported when a compressor is in high speed operation, by supporting the swivel scroll member through ball bearing to the upper surface of an annular plate supported by the intermediate pressure between a suction side and a delivery side. CONSTITUTION:A scroll compressor, being housed in an enclosed vessel 1, has an annular groove 18 in a frame 3 in its side brought into contact with the back surface of a swivel scroll member 5, and an annular plate 19 is inserted into said groove. The compressor, mounting a ball bearing 23 to an upper surface of the annular plate,supports the swivel scroll member through this bearing. While the compressor, introducing the intermediate pressure between a suction side and a delivery side into the annular groove 18 through a pressure pipe 21, applies a proper back pressure to the swivel scroll member. |
