<p>A description is given of a multifocal lens with one basic part designed for seeing at a distance and an additional part (2) for seeing close to. The lens described is characterized by the fact that one surface of the additional part consists of the progressive region (4) and of the near part (5) of a progressive surface. In an advantageous development, the progressive surface, whose progressive region (4) and near part (5) form a surface of the additional part (2), is so designed that its surface astigmatism is essentially concentrated in the distant part.</p> |
