PURPOSE:To surely and easily enable focusing at optimum period of time. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to a driving signal Sz, a zoom lens driving mechanism 1 drives a zoom lens to the telephoto side and the wide angle side. Corresponding to a driving signal Sf2, a focus driving mechanism 2 drives the lens for focusing. Corresponding to a contact signal from a zoom lens control switch 5, a zoom lens driving signal generation part 3 generstes the driving signal Sz for driving the zoom lens. Corresponding to a contact signal from a focus control switch 6, a focus driving signal generation part 4 generates a driving signal Sf1 for driving the lens forward and backward. A lens position detection part 7 detects the driving position of the zoom lens and generates a lens position signal Sd. A driving speed control part 8 receives the lens position signal Sd and generates the driving signal Sf2 so that the more the zoom lens is moved to the telephone side, the more the driving speed of the lens can be decelerated and reversely the more the lens is moved to the wide angle side, the more the driving speed of the lens can be accelerated. |
