PURPOSE:To appropriately executing the updating of the moving speed of a focus compensation lens without increasing the number of focus lens track data and to zoom with high focus lens track followup ability even at the time of high-speed zooming. CONSTITUTION:Even when a variable power lens 12 is not on a variable power lens position (boundary position) discretely stored in a focus lens track table T, a microcomputer 21 for lens control specifies a followup track by interpolating the data in the direction of a variable power lens position, calculates and updates the moving speed (followup speed) of the focus lens 15 using difference between the present focus compensation lens 15 position and the focus compensation lens position of a followup destination every time the variable power lens 12 passes through the boundary position during the zooming and does not calculate nor update the followup speed until the next boundary position is passed. |
