THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF WASTE CONTAINING CHLORINE-CONTAINING PLASTIC

PURPOSE:To provide a process for efficiently removing hydrogen chloride from a waste containing plastics such as vinyl chloride resin to recover and reutilize the active components of the waste. CONSTITUTION:A waste containing vinyl chloride resin is mixed with hot heat- resistant particles, charged into a thermal decomposition furnace 2 and thermally decomposed to separate a thermal decomposition gas and a residual solid. The solid is introduced into a combustion furnace 4 and gasified or burned. Hot heat-resistant particles are separated from the residue and recycled to the thermal decomposition furnace 2.
