The user may pull on a handle (1) which may be a metal tube encased in plastics or wood. A cord (8) is attached to a plug (0.1) which fits into the bore (14) of the tube. A fastening device (0.1,0.2) holds the plug in place. The other end of the tube has a threaded bore in the side and a connecting piece (10) may be screwed into it. A second handle (1.1) is pivoted on top of this connecting piece so that it may move with respect to the first handle. A rubber ring (15) stretched between the two handles acts as a spring and resists this movement.
