There is provided grafting and producing method of seedlings which can advance the producing period of fruits by mass-producing seedlings in place of fruit seeds, enlarge rural household income by supplying seedlings in a low price, and also provide inexpensive fruits for consumers. After sowing seeds of seedless watermelons or melons or cultivating stems, a joint of embryo axis(12) including main leaf(14) and a sprout(18) is cultivated until it is grown 10 times as big as original joint. A stem for grafting which is cut per joint of embryo axis(12) is formed by cutting upper and lower part of embryo axis(12) excluding a main leaf(14) and a sprout(18). At this time, embryo axis(12) which is used for a stem for grafting(10) includes a main leaf and a sprout, a grafting projection(16) narrower than an embryo axis is formed on the lower part, the lower part of surface is cut inclinatorily and the cutting part(161) is formed, and the upper part of surface is cut and the cutting part(141) is formed.
