PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a driver to grasp a road situation without executing a special operation by outputting picture information where a vehicle position is shown in map information and displaying road traffic information obtained by FM character multiplex broadcasting on a picture display device. SOLUTION: An FM character multiplex broadcasting reception device 5 outputs a received character string to various information processors 2 as character information. The various information processors 2 select map information corresponding to the position of a self vehicle from map screen data storage part 4 based on position information outputted from a self vehicle position detection device 1, output picture information where the position of the self vehicle is shown in map information, selects character information on road traffic among character information outputted from the FM multiplex broadcasting reception device 5 and outputs road traffic character information. A picture display device 3 executes display for informing the driver of picture information and road traffic character information, which are outputted from the various information processors 2. |
