PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sensitivity as well as printing speed of a thermal transfer recording medium by permitting the employment of low-melting point wax while preventing fluffing and improving resistance to scratching further by improving the cutting of ink upon printing. SOLUTION: A thermal transfer recording medium is provided with a peeling layer, containing the group of wax, and an ink layer, containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, which are formed sequentially on a substrate. In this case, the ink layer is formed of ink solution, obtained by dispersing and treating an ink composition into organic solvent and applied on the peeling layer. Ethylene-acetate vinyl copolymer, having the value of melt index of 60-1000 is employed as the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer contained in the ink layer. Methyl ketone is employed as the organic solvent. |
