The stirrer has spiral-shaped blades (19) bent radially outwards in a direction opposite to the blade rotation direction (24) in order to minimize damage to the polymer molecules. A machine for diluting and activating liquid polymer products in a solvent has a casing with polymer product and solvent inlets. Inside the casing is stirring region for a polymer solution, containing a motor-driven stirrer with outwards-protruding blades, and connected to the stirring region is a conditioning region for the solution. The stirrer blades have a spiral shape and are bent radially outwards in a direction opposite to the blade rotation direction. Independent claims are also included for (a) a valve for dosing a polymer product into an activation device, and (b) a method for diluting and activating a polymer product in a solvent using this machine.
