PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve separation efficiency and to reduce the intrusion of dioxins into dust separated by a bag filter to the utmost by performing the decomposition of the dioxins while temperature of waste gas discharged from an incinerator is high. SOLUTION: Waste gas from an incinerator A is led to a reactor K packed with a catalyst for decomposing dioxins and their precursors, and next, dust or the like therein are removed by a dust collector B consisting essentially of a bag filter to discharge is as clean air. The waste gas from the incinerator A is subjected to primary cooling to a relatively high temperature suitable for reaction of the catalyst and fed to the reactor K, and the waste gas from the reactor K is subjected to secondary cooling to a temperature suitable for treatment in the bag filter and fed to the bag filter. |
