PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus in which the conductor of an optical wiring network as a whole between optical transmission devices can be controlled and in which the conductor can be controlled visually in an optical connector part by a method wherein control light is inserted selectively into an optical fiber cable connected to an optical wiring board, an optical switch is program-controlled and conductor control light is made visible by using a lid for an optical connector adaptor. SOLUTION: In an apparatus, an optical fiber cable 1, a wide wavength band-type photocoupler 10, control devices 25, 26, a lid 43 for an optical connector adaptor and the like are provided. An optical switch 15 and a control light source 30 are controlled by the control device 26. Control light is inserted into the side of the optical transmission edge 4 of the optical fiber cable 1 via the wide wavelength band-type photocoupler 10 and an optical fiber 3. When an optical connector plug 41 is not placed on an optical connector adaptor 41, arrived optical light hits the lid 43 for the optical connector adaptor, and it is displayed so as to be visible. In addition, when the optical connector plug 47 is placed on the optical connector adaptor 41, the covering of an optical fiber cable 46 is bent, and the control light is detected by a detector so as to be controlled. |
