PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective circuit capable of preventing the malfunction of a device or the deterioration of a semiconductor possessed by the device even in the connection of a host-side device laid in a power supply ON state to an external device with ATAPI as interface laid in a power supply OFF state through a signal line such as control bus or the like. SOLUTION: The signal line 101 is separated from a bus 105 and grounded through appositive voltage protective diode 103 and a resistor 108, whereby the input of voltage from the host-side device to the internal circuit of the device through the signal line 101 is prevented.
