PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in the international mobile telecommunication standard IMT2000 for the next generation, the specifications of the wireless infrastructure become very complicated, since it makes a transmission power control which changes the transmission output according to the distance from the base station and a variable rate communication within the range of 64-384 kbps (in future to 2 Mbps), so that, contrary to the user's intention, the battery capacity for the telecommunication cannot be secured when the additional functions are used or in reverse the battery capacity for the telecommunication is provided too much, and consequently restriction of use of the additional functions becomes severe. SOLUTION: This wireless telecommunication device of battery driven type having both of a wireless communication part 102 with a plurality of modes and another additional function part 104 calculates time available for use from the power consumption of the wireless communication part 102 and the additional function part 104, and according to the time available for use of each function calculated, reports the usable time of each function of a particular communication mode of the wireless telecommunication functions or each function of the others, and also restricts use of the particular mode or each function of the others. |
