PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation supporting system for the network of waterworks pipes capable of handling massive data and calculation in a complicated network of distributing pipes and also securing the accuracy of calculating result and also supporting the operation of waterworks in analysis for the network of distributing pipes by means of an analyzing device in which unknown values of a model for a network of distributing pipes are converted into energy head of node points. SOLUTION: Water pressure measuring devices 51 and 52 are provided in a part of node points of a network 2 of distributing pipes, and energy head in respective positions of the node points is analyzed as already-known data. These analysis and operation are comprised of controlling energy head of a part of node points by means of valves, changing unknown values of the model for the network of distributing pipes on the basis of energy head of node points, analyzing the valves that are treated as node points, and solving the unknown values of the model for the network of distributing pipes by means of minimization of an error function.
