PURPOSE: A method for an emergency rescue service through a help menu setup function is provided to ask for help only by simply operating a button in case of emergency, and promptly cope with the request. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal stores emergency rescue request information prepared by a user by way of precaution against an accident. In the case that an emergency rescue request button is inputted, the mobile communication terminal recognizes that an emergency is generated(401). According to a result of the recognition, the mobile communication terminal tries a call to a preliminarily defined called telephone number based on the emergency rescue request information(402,403,405). The mobile communication terminal transmits an emergency rescue request message set based on the emergency rescue request information to the corresponding called telephone number(404,406). If a termination key is inputted in the middle of connecting the emergency rescue, a speaker is turned off and a microphone is turned on to enable direct voice communication(407,408,409,410).
