PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for analyzing a sugar chain, by which the sugar chain can highly simply and sensitively be analyzed only by adding a liquid reaction reagent to a liquid specimen without needing the preliminary labeling or purification of the specimen with a highly specific sugar transferase, and in which a detection system can be downsized because of having a liquid-liquid reaction. SOLUTION: This method for analyzing the sugar chain on the basis of the reactivity of the sugar transferase is based on the change in the reactivity of the sugar transferase before the action of the sugar transferase and after the action of the sugar transferase.
