According to the present invention, a bus information system comprises: an in-bus terminal device which is a terminal device disposed in each bus, and transmits running path information, speed information, time information, and identification information of a corresponding bus obtained from a GPS module disposed in the corresponding bus using short-range wireless communication; an in-bus-stop terminal device which is a terminal device disposed in each bus stop, and transmits the running path information, the speed information, the time information, and the identification information of each bus received from the in-bus terminal devices and identification information of a corresponding bus stop to a bus information center using an internet network; a bus route database construction server which is a server disposed in the bus information center, and uses the running path information and the identification information of each bus and the identification information of the corresponding bus stop received from the in-bus-stop terminal devices to generate route information of each bus based on a map including bus stop information; and a bus running information providing server which is a server disposed in the bus information center, and uses the running path information, the speed information, the time information, and the identification information of each bus received from the in-bus-stop terminal devices to generate bus running information corresponding to the bus or the bus stop to provide a running information guide device of the bus stop or a user terminal with the bus running information. |
