PURPOSE:To make one unit of device usable for butt welding and fillet welding by holding the top end of a torch at a right or free angle with a round material to be welded and making the same freely extensible and contractable. CONSTITUTION:A link arm 16 is bolted to a torch attaching shaft 15 united and fixed to a gear 13 and is universally movable in the rotating and linear directions relative with a shaft 15. A metallic hinge fitting 21 is half-fixed to the arm as well and an insulating plate 23 for attaching the torch attached freely rotatably with the torch 24 is attached freely turnably thereto. Virtual parallel links A, B, C, D are formed of the shaft 15 (fulcrum D), pins 19, 22 (fulcrums B, C) which are both fulcrum shafts of a link arm 20 and the center of a pipe (virtual fulcrum) when the pipe is positioned. |
