FIELD: equipment for technical adding of hair roots to individual's skin, in particular, transplantation operations on head surface. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is adapted for mechanical implantation of hair roots in individual's skin by introducing transplants, such as small pieces of skin, each containing at least one hair root. Apparatus is made in the form of gun for shooting hair root transplants into individual's skin. Transplants are delivered from carrier strip with cartridges which are preliminarily charged with hair transplants. Apparatus is further provided with device for introducing these transplants into cartridges on carrier strip. Transplant introducing device has frame for carrying surgically cut out piece of skin, video camera for detailed scanning of piece of skin, and computer for analyzing video image and controlling set of engines providing displacement and regulating carrier strip and device for cutting out transplant from piece of skin. Frame is equipped with device for cooling piece of skin. EFFECT: increased efficiency by mechanized hair transplanting operation, and reduced hair growing time to predetermined acceptable length. 9 cl, 17 dwg
