PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the boring of gas exhaust holes in a mold with setting space having small space and simple mechanism by supporting the mold facing a cavity surface upward, elevating/lowering a boring plate having plural boring needles from the lower part, boring the mold, inclining the boring plate to the angle of repose or more of the molding sand and removing the molding sand. SOLUTION: The mold 13 is carried with a carrying conveyor 12 and the cavity surface of the mold 13 is faced upward and the mold is temporarily stopped. The boring plate 11 is pushed with an upward cylinder 7 through a push-up plate 8 and the boring needles 10 stick the back part of the mold 13. The upward cylinder 7 is reversely worked and the boring plate 11 is returned back to the boring plate supporting table 5. The gas exhaust holes 15 are bored in the mold 13. The upward cylinder 7 is worked and the boring plate 11 is elevated and inclined to the angle of repose or more of the molding sand, such as the chain line in the figure. The molding sand spilled on the boring plate 11 is slipped down and removed. At the time of boring in the different specification, the boring plate 11 having the another specification is laid in the space position on the boring plate supporting table 5, and a turn table 3 is turned and the boring plate is shifted below the mold 13.
