PURPOSE:To smoothly form a both-face and multiple image in a short time by providing a first and a second image forming parts, and also, providing an inverting part for inverting a sheet in a carrying path between both the image forming parts. CONSTITUTION:At the time of executing a multiple image forming work for forming continuously an image on the first face of a sheet S, when an image is formed on the first face of the sheet S by the first image forming part 30 and carried to an inverting part 31, and the sheet S is sent to the second image forming part 32 from a state that the inverting part 31 is not inverted, an image is formed again on the same face of the sheet S which has formed an image in advance on the first face, and a multiple image forming work is ended. Also, at the time of executing a both-face image forming work for forming an image on the first face and the second face of the sheet S, an image is formed on the first face of the sheet S by the first image forming part 30 and carried to the inverting part 31, and the sheet S is inverted by the inverting part 31 and sent to the second image forming part 32. In such a way, the required time at the time of the both-face and multiple copying work can be shortened. |
