NEW MATERIAL:An antibiotic TAN-930 or its salt represented by the formula as a disodium salt. The antibiotic TAN-930 has the following physicochemical properties. Appearance : white solid ; specific rotary power : [alpha]D<23>=-26 deg.+ or -10 deg. (c=0.51, water) ; elementary analysis (%) : C 28.63, H 3.93, N 12.96, P 11.56, Na7.2 ; mol.wt. (by SI-MS method) : m/z 512 (M+H)<+>; molecular formula : C13H17N5O10P2.Na2 : soluble in water and dimethyl sulfoxide, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, acetone and chloroform ; positive to periodobenzidine, ammonium molybdate-perchlorate and KMnO4 reactions, negative to ninhydrin, Sakaguchi and Burton reactions, etc. USE:A bactericide or an intermediate for synthetizing medicines. PREPARATION:A microorganism belonging to Pseudomonas genus, such as Pseudomonas sp. PK-5 strain (FERM P-8832), is cultured. |
