PURPOSE:To obtain toner particles having improved preservability by constituting >=10% of surface of spherical particles of a monomer corresponding to a thermoplastic resin to be formed from said monomer, and coating the surface of the particles with a polymer having a larger mol.wt. than the resin. CONSTITUTION:The title coated toner particles 1 are constituted of a thermoplastic resin, a colorant, and a charge controller, as core. A polymer 2 to be coated on the spherical toner particles 1 is constituted of a monomer of a thermoplastic resin for forming the toner particles 1, wherein the mol.wt. of the polymer 2 should be larger than the mol.wt. of the thermoplastic resin constituting the toner particles 1. Further, at least 10% of the surface of the toner particles 1 should be coated. Since the toner particles are spherical and the surface is coated with fine particles 2 having high mol.wt., the preservability of the toner particles 1 is improved remarkably. |
