The object of the invention is to provide a tool for testing computer systems. This tool should enable specified events to be detected by observing signals, should be adaptable to different computer systems without great cost, and should work at high speed. This object is achieved by a device which contains several partial circuits (21) on a bearer plate (20). The partial circuits (21) can be connected together via detachable connecting lines (6) into an electronic circuit, which can be used for detection of events in a computer system (25). Suitable partial circuits (21) may be comparator circuits (1 to 3 and 11 to 14), memory circuits (15), timer circuits (4) and linking circuits (5). The device can be used for development and testing of microcomputer systems.
