<p>PURPOSE:To provide a golf shaft with which a ball may be hit in a stable direction and the lead may be increased, by making the twist angle of a reinforcing fiber layer which is spirally wound in one direction with respect to the circumferential direction, larger than the twist angles of reinforcing fibers which are spirally wound in several directions. CONSTITUTION:A golf shaft 14 is formed of a reinforcing fiber layer in which reinforcing fibers impregnated with synthetic resin are spirally wound in one direction with respect to the longitudinal direction of the shaft, and a reinforcing fiber layer in which reinforcing fibers impregnated with synthetic resin are spirally wound in several directions. In this arrangement, the twist angle of the reinforcing fiber layer in which fibers are wound spirally in the one direction, is set to be larger than the twist angle of the reinforcing layer in which the fibers are spirally wound in several directions. When a ball is hit by a golf club using the above-mentioned golf shaft, a resistance force against a twist caused by an external force during hitting, is effected so as to restrain the golf head from being twisted, and accordingly, the golf ball may be hit in a stable direction, and the lead may be increased.</p> |
