PURPOSE:To evenly distribute the air to eliminate dead areas by dividing a filler into multiple filler chambers and by providing a guide plate that allows the passage of water pouring down from the filler layer as it guides the outside air which are drawn from under. CONSTITUTION:The air that flows into filler chambers 8 formed by multiple airflow separators 9, 9 that divide the filler layer 3 in the diametrical direction does not enter into a neighboring chamber 8 but flows out of the top. Therefore, the outside air (b) draown from a louver 7 into the tower 5 by a blower 4 is divided by multiple guide plates 10 and is distributed in the diametrical direction along an inclined section 11. Then, it changes the course as it hits a vertical section 12 to move on upward, and after cooling the warm water sprinkled from nozzles 2 in the filler chambers 8 by contacting the same in the opposing flows, the air is discharged out of the outlet of the blower 4. |
