<p>The invention is directed to a method of manufacturing security elements (1) for electronic article surveillance, said security elements (1) being made of at least two layers (2, 3), and to a security element (1) manufactured according to the method of the invention. The object underlying the invention is to propose a method of manufacturing low cost and reliably operating security elements (1). The method of the invention comprises the steps of applying a first layer (2) of a cellulose material (6) in the still moist state to a second layer (3) of a cellulose material (5), with soft magnetic elements (4) which emit a characteristic signal in the interrogating field of an article surveillance system being added to one of the two layers (2; 3); and subsequently die stamping or cutting out the desired shape of the security elements (1) from the two layers (2, 3) in the dry state.</p> |
