PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing caption signal is provided to be capable of learning using a caption by storing and printing a caption signal. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a caption decoder(15) having a microcontroller(17) separating an image signal and a caption signal in a complex image signal received via external or internal tuner(12), data storing device(30) for storing the caption signal and an audio signal separated by the microcontroller(17), a printing device(45) for printing the caption signal without storing the caption signal, and an audio device(60) for recording the audio signal.
