摘要 <p>A control system for the flow of products on a sloped gravity actuated, roll conveyor. This system comprises at least one conveyor segment (1) made up of an upstream brake zone (9), a downstream brake zone (11), and an intermediate product sensor zone (10). The upstream and downstream brake zones have elongated brake modules (12, 13), each shiftable between an unactuated position out of contact with the rolls (8) of its respective zone and an actuated braking position contacting most of the rolls of its respected zone. Each brake module is biased to its actuated braking position by spring biasing devices and normally is held in its unactuated non-braking position against the action of the spring biasing devices. The upstream brake module (12) follows the sensor, being in its actuated braking position when the sensor (29) senses a product, and being in its unactuated non-braking position when the sensor does not sense a product. The downstream brake module (13) is shifted to its actuated braking position when the sensor (29) senses a product. The downstream brake module has an adjustable timer associated therewith and will shift to its unactuated non-braking position when the timer times out.</p>
