PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass air flow rate sensor having high efficiency, low in cost and low in the sensitivity to contamination. SOLUTION: In the mass air flow rate sensor 10 having a housing 14, an aerofoil element 16 and at least one sensor element 22 attached to the surface of the aerofoil element 16, the disturbance imparted to an air stream can be minimized and the small capacity in the air stream can be improved.
