<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier which is capable of not only rapidly electrostatically charging toners to a target electrostatic quantity but attaining the compatibility of image density with fogging, i.e., holding of the electrostatic quantity with build-up of the electrostatic charge by maintaining the target electrostatic quantity during printing. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic carrier is prepared by coating the surfaces of magnetic particles with a resin and satisfies equation (B)>(-19.4)×(A)+31 [where (A) signifies carbon content weight % in the carrier and (B) signifies the ratio of the square root (CPN)1/2 of photoelectron emission number (CPS) and excitation energy (eV)].</p> |
