Device and method for microwave leak monitoring for a cooking device

The method involves detecting microwave-leakage emission by a microwave-sensor device (28). A temporal course of the detected microwave emission is stored for a time interval by a storage device which is connected with the microwave-sensor device. A part of the stored microwave emission is evaluated. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for monitoring microwave leakage in a cooking device; and (2) a cooking device with a device for evaluating the microwave leakage.
