Novel stabilizers

2,2,6,6-Tetramethylpiperidine derivatives of the formula: <IMAGE> (I) wherein m is 0, 1 or 2, R1 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, phenoxymethyl or phenyl and R2 is C1-C8 alkyl, are excellent stabilizers for synthetic polymers.
