PURPOSE:To simplify maintenance by eliminating labor and time in the case of exchanging a filter for filtering ozone. CONSTITUTION:A process cartridge 40 having semiairtight structure and housing a photosensitive drum 10 and an electrostatic charger 12 is loaded in/unloaded from a device in a state where the filter F for filtering ozone is attached to the cartridge 40. By actuating and rotating a propeller fan 60 set on a device main body side, the harmful ozone in the cartridge 40 generated by the corona discharge by the charger 12 is absorbed and filtered by the filter F, so that the photosensitive body and an electrode are protected, and the filter F is automatically exchanged for a new one by exchanging the cartridge 40. |
