PURPOSE:To keep a recorder from being large and the cost thereof from rising and to prevent image fogging from occurring by applying sufficient charge to toner even at the beginning of developing action by controlling a developing roller and a resist roller so that they may be rotated by a specified amount before executing recording action. CONSTITUTION:A developing resist motor 13 periodically drives to rotate the developing roller 22 and the resist roller 9. At the specified point of time T2 before starting the recording action, a control part 14 starts the rotation of the motor 13 to start the rotation of the rollers 22 and 9. The control part 14 allows the motor 13 to rotate so as to rotate the rollers 22 and 9 until the time TB required for rotating the roller 22 by the specified amount passes from the point of time T2. Therefore, the roller 22 is rotated by the specified amount for the time TB, and the sufficiently electrostatically charged toner is carried on the roller 22 for the time TB. |
