METHOD FOR SPINNING AND DIRECT DRAWING OF POLYESTER MULTIFILAMENT YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for melt spinning by which a package of a good winding form without causing cobwebbing in an end face when a polyester multifilament yarn containing >=1 mass% of ceramics fine particles is wound by a spinning and direct drawing method. SOLUTION: The moisture pickup (X) of filament prior to the carrying out of drawing and heat treatment is <=0.5 mass% and the moisture pickup (Y) of the resultant yarn passed through the drawing and heat treatment and wound with a winder is 1.0-3.0 mass% when oil application devices 3 and 11 are provided before and after drawing and heat-treating step to apply an emulsion oil to the running filaments and yarn in a method for carrying out melt spinning of a polyester multifilament yarn containing >=1 mass% of the ceramics fine particles and winding the multifilament yarn at >=2,500 m/min speed according to the spinning and direct drawing method.
