VOIP GATEWAY APPARATUS BEING CONNECTED THROUGH INTERNAL SUBSCRIBER LINE OF PRIVATE EXCHANGE

PURPOSE: A VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) gateway apparatus connected through an internal subscriber line of a private exchange is provided to apply Internet-based telephone service of a phone to phone type or a phone to PC type by only connecting to the internal subscriber line of the private exchange simply without accompanying revise of a hardware interface with the private exchange and a driving software within the private exchange. CONSTITUTION: A switching unit(210) is connected to a private line terminal of a private line subscriber circuit(110) of a private exchange(100) and performs an automatic connection operation by finding an idle private line among the private lines. A voice CODEC unit(220) is connected to the switching unit(210). A LAN(Local Area Network) connection unit(230) for performing origination and destination of a VoIP call is connected to the voice CODEC unit(220). A control unit(240) is connected to the switching unit(210), voice CODEC unit(220) and LAN connection unit(230) and controls the switching unit(210) in order to make an off-hook state by finding an idle internal line as an originating operation.
