PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine protecting a power generating circuit of a cold cathode-ray tube for use in a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: This game machine is provided with a liquid crystal panel 173; the liquid crystal display device 27 provided in the rear side of the liquid crystal panel 173 and having a light guide plate 174 which guides the light emitted from lighting means 176a and 176b for the liquid crystal panel to the liquid crystal panel 173 and formed with light transmission areas 40L, 40C, and 40R for transmitting the light; a variable display device disposed in the rear side of the liquid crystal device in a position opposed to the light transmission areas and aligned with a plurality of reels 3L, 3C and 3R disposed with a plurality of identification information; and light emitting means 276a and 276b provided adjacently to a side of the light transmission areas. The game machine is further provided with drive parts 300a and 300b driving the light emitting means 276a and 276b; and protection members 290a and 290b covering the driving parts and having a shape of separating from the drive parts by a predetermined distance or more.
