<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment metadata generation device and method which can avoid the reproduction of video of a target other than a viewing target and missing of video of the viewing target. <P>SOLUTION: An MPEG 2-TS108 which is a video stream encoded by an encoder 107, and segment metadata 109 generated by describing information indicating a section of a video for a video before encoding, are inputted to a segment metadata generation device 100. An input 101 accepts the video stream. A reproduction enabling position extractor 102 extracts reproduction enabling position information 103 from the inputted video stream. A segment metadata corrector 104 corrects the starting position of the segment metadata inputted based on the extracted reproduction enabling position information 103, by referring to a relation table 105 which defines a relation between a type of a video included in the segment metadata and a correction method of the segment metadata. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
