COLOR FILTER, ITS PRODUCTION, SUBSTRATE OF LIQUID CRYSTAL ELEMENT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form colored parts which are not affected by steps for forming a protective coat and a transparent electrically conductive film and to prevent of coloration and setting of colorantor the protective coat or the lowering of contrast by coloring a resin composition with a colorant and making the concentration of the colorant higher on the transparent substrate side. SOLUTION: A light shielding layer 2 with openings is formed on a transparent substrate 1 using a black resin. A negative type photosensitive resin composition layer 3 having ink absorbency even after irradiation with light is formed on the entire surface of the substrate 1. The photosensitive resin composition layer 3 in the opening regions of the light shielding layer 2 is irradiated with light. Development is carried out, a coloring ink 5 is imparted to the photosensitive resin composition layer 3 in the openings by an ink jet system to color the layer 3 and the layer 3 is heat-treated to form colored parts 6. The colored parts 6 are then washed. The colored parts 6 are obtained by coloring the resin composition with the colorant 5 and the concentration of the colorant 5 varies in the depth direction of the colored parts 6 and is higher on the substrate 1 side.
