PURPOSE:To provide an easy method to produce a color filter having high precision without mixing of colors. CONSTITUTION:On a dielectric layer 12 formed on a light-transmitting conductive body 11, an electrostatic latent image is formed and developed with a desired color developer 16-18 to form a color layer. This procedure is repeated to form other color layers to obtain the color filter. In this method, an electrifying body 13 having a mask 14 corresponding to the image pattern on its surface is brought into contact with the dielectric layer 12 to apply voltage to produce an electrostatic latent image. |
