PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch 20 provided with a plurality of input ports 3 and a plurality of output ports 4 to set a path between an input port 3 and an output port 4 that eliminates crosstalk occurred at path setting or path switching. SOLUTION: An interruption means interrupts an optical signal given to the optical switch 20 during a path switching period. Or a control section 40 of the optical switch control an input side moving mirror 24 for a path switching period so that an optical signal deflected by the moving mirror is not outputted from all the output ports 4 other than the output port 4 used for new path setting, e.g. the optical signal reflected by the input side moving mirror 24 is not made incident on another output side moving mirrors 25 than the output side moving mirror 25 required for new path setting for the path switching period. Or the output moving mirrors 25 of the optical switch 20 are placed in a plurality of areas 29 in a way that a path can be switched between the two output moving mirror 25 without causing the optical signal to traverse another output moving mirror 25. |
