PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition in which a modified conjugated diene polymer is used for the rubber component and an oil containing little amount of components retarding the dispersion-improving effect of the filler is used for a softener and which exhibits excellent workability, breaking properties and wear resistance and a low heat build up. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is a blend of≥20 pts.mass of a reinforcing filler and≥15 pts.mass of a softener having an aniline point of≥50°C to 100 pts.mass of a rubber component containing≥10 mass% of a modified conjugated diene polymer having at least one kind of functional group.
