PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing thermal insulating duct in which both a sound absorbing action and a thermal insulating action required for usual application can be attained even though its structure is simple, it can be suitable for a continuous production and its mass production can be realized under a low cost. SOLUTION: This sound absorbing thermal insulating duct comprises a non-woven fabric layer 1 in which a non-woven fabric 10 having a predetermined width is wound into a helical shape and formed into a cylinder while its side edges being abutted or overlapped to each other; a reinforcing core member 2 made of wire material of hard synthetic resin, wound in a helical form on a connected part 1a of the non- woven fabric 10 and molten adhered to or adhered to the non-woven fabric 10 at its overlapped surfaces; a foamed material band layer 3 in which foamed resin band material 30 formed into the band shape having approximately the same width as that of the non-woven fabric 10 is wound in a helical form while its both side edges 3a, 3a being positioned on the adjoining two reinforcing core members 2, 2; an adhering resin 4 adhered over a side surface of non-woven foamed band material 30 and a side surface of non-woven reinforcing core member 2; and a resin covering film layer 5 covering on an outer circumferential surface of the foamed band material layer 3. |
