<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a document confidential, which is image-formed by an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When document data, delay time, and a communication address of a document data transmission source are received, a storage part 5 stores the document data, the delay time, and the communication address in association with the reception time of the document data and identification information associated with the transmission source. A CPU 44 informs the transmission source of the first document data with the earliest reception time that the processing can be started. When a response to the notification is received within a prescribed time, an image output part 6 forms the image, based on the first document data, after the delay time elapses. When the response is not received within the prescribed time, the input of the identification information by an operator is received. When the identification information coincides with the identification information stored in association with the first document data, the image is formed based on the first document data.
