PURPOSE:To provide a multiple-step engraved decoration with different depths of engraving by a single step of sand blasting, by a method wherein a special protective film having a less pressure-resistant part and a more pressure-resistant part with respect to a sanding pressure is provided by transfer of direct printing on a surface of a material to be engraved. CONSTITUTION:The protective film 3 and an overcoat layer 7 are provided by transfer or direct printing on the surface of the material 21 to be engraved. The protective film 3 is comprised of the 1st-3rd layers 4, 5, 6, each of which is provided with common penetrating holes 11 for passing sand-blast particles therethrough. The deepest engravingIoccurs at the surface part corresponding to the holes 11, and the multiple-step decoration can be engraved by combining the deepest engravingIwith a relatively shallow engraving II and the shallowest engraving III. |
