PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an extraneous polypeptide which is easily obtained without complicated purification processes and is useful as a medicine or the like by allowing a plant intercellular liquid to productively secrete the extraneous polypeptide and getting it. SOLUTION: This extraneous polypeptide is obtained by allowing the intercellular liquid, e.g. a vascular bundle liquid or the like such as a vascular liquid or the like, of a plant selected from any of the families Leguminosae, Solanaceae, Cruciferae, Cueurbitaceae, Apiaceae and Compositae (plant) to productively secrete an exotraneous polypeptide, e.g. human serum albumin or the like, and getting this polypeptide. Further, this extraneous polypeptide is preferably produced by cultivating a plant body regenerated from plant cells transformed by an expression vector containing a recombinant DNA which includes a gene coding for a signal peptide capable of allowing the plant intercellular liquid to secrete the exotraneous polypeptide, a promoter DNA capable of expressing the exotraneous polypeptide and a structural gene coding for the extraneous polypeptide. |
